Vitalik Buterin brings changes to Ethereum Roadmap

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has shared the updated roadmap of Ethereum post the Merge. He released a diagram depicting the next six stages in a phase-wise manner. The next six milestones will be: The Merge, the Surge, The Scourge, The Verge, The Purge, and The Splurge.The Scourge is the new addition to Ethereum's scalability roadmap.

Coinbase join support to Ripple against SEC lawsuit

United States- based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has come out in support of Ripple Labs in its legal battle against the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The court case between Ripple Labs and US SEC is continued since 2020 and is expected to come to a conclusion by the first half of 2023. Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase has asked the Judge for permission to file an amicus brief in the SEC case. The crypto exchange has filed a request in the court in support of Ripple’s Fair Notice Defense.

Ethereum’s Shanghai Upgrade Will Play A Crucial Role In Determining ETH’s Price

A recent meeting held by Ethereum’s lead developers has led crypto investors to speculate how the Shanghai update will impact the token’s future price. The Shanghai update is scheduled to be deployed in the second quarter of 2023.

Ethereum Layer 2 Protocols Set New Weekly High For Transactions

Layer 2 transactions on Ethereum’s blockchain hit a new seven-day high, Orbiter Finance data showed. Orbiter’s dashboard recorded over 5.78 million transactions between October 27 and November 2. Arbitrum led the L2 pack with around 46.59% of layer 2 transactions carried out on the protocol. Transactions on Ethereum’s mainnet only exceeded L2s by about 30%.

Flashbots builder needs to charge a fee to increase diversity

Simply put, Flashbots is a research and development organization that pioneered the MEV sector. They set out to solve MEV related problems and bring more transparency to this market. They created reference tooling to increase diversity and censorship-resistance in Ethereum by building their own implementation of PBS (proposer-builder separation) with MEV-Boost. They unlocked a new and exciting market for block builders, searchers and validators. They enabled the ecosystem to be less centralized around validators by decoupling the proposer role and the builder role.
