ED Files ₹14.16 Crore PMLA Complaint Against Hashpe Scheme
ED Chennai files a PMLA complaint against Hashpe crypto investment scheme and attaches assets worth ₹14.16 crore in the alleged investment fraud case.
In line with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in Puducherry, the Enforcement Directorate filed a prosecution charge sheet with the Special Court against Pan India Cryptocurrency, which is connected to the Hashpe cryptocurrency investment scheme. On October 30, 2026, the agency also temporarily attached movable and immovable assets valued at about ₹14.16 crore.
The action relates to an allegedly fraudulent investment scheme that attracted participants with claims of daily profits, numerous investment returns, commissions for referrals, and costly prizes.
ED Files PMLA Complaint Against Hashpe
On October 30, 2026, ED Chennai submitted a prosecution charge to the Special Court PMLA in Puducherry on the purported cryptocurrency investment fraud involving M/s Pan India Crypto Currency, which operated under the Hashpe identity.
The agency's investigation into the plan has advanced significantly as a result of the complaint. Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, ED temporarily seized both immovable and movable assets worth about ₹14.16 crore in conjunction with the judicial procedures.
Assets that the agency believes are related to the alleged financial fraud are covered by the attachment. The ED's action against the investment activity includes the prosecution's complaint and attachment.
Hashpe Promised 1% Daily Returns & Triple Investment Payouts
Participants are said to have been drawn to the investment plan by a combination of exceptionally high financial returns and incentives intended to promote additional involvement.
According to reports, investors were promised 1% daily returns on their capital. Additionally, the network promised returns of up to three times the initial investment, so users might anticipate significant profits over time.
The plan allegedly encouraged referral commissions in addition to investment returns, enabling participants to get extra compensation by introducing new investors to the network.
These financial incentives were accompanied by luxury rewards, including expensive cars and foreign tours. The combination of daily earnings, multiplied investment payouts, and lifestyle incentives formed the central attraction of the alleged cryptocurrency investment operation.
ED has identified the arrangement as a fraudulent cryptocurrency-based investment scheme. The allegations are now part of the prosecution complaint filed before the PMLA Special Court in Puducherry.
ED, Chennai has filed a Prosecution Complaint before Special Court PMLA, Puducherry and provisionally attached movable and immovable properties/assets valued at Rs. 14.16 Crore (approx.) on 30.10.2026 under PMLA, 2002, in the case of M/s Pan India Crypto Currency (Hashpe) for operating fraudulent cryptocurrency-based investment scheme, promising daily returns of 1%, returns of up to three times the investment, referral commissions and rewards such as luxury cars and foreign tours.

₹14.16 Crore Assets Provisionally Attached Under PMLA
Another significant component of ED's action against the Hashpe scheme is the temporary attachment of assets valued at roughly ₹14.16 crore.
On October 30, 2026, the agency attached both immovable and movable properties. In relation to the purportedly fraudulent investment scheme operated by Pan India Cryptocurrency, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, was applied.

The ongoing money laundering proceedings include the temporary attachment. It does not constitute a definitive court ruling on the accusations.
While the agency pursues its action under the anti-money laundering law, ED Chennai's criminal charge before the Special Judicial PMLA, Puducherry, places the suspected investment scam within official judicial procedures.
Hashpe Crypto Investment Scheme Faces Court Proceedings
After the ED's October 30 move, the Hashpe cryptocurrency investment case now includes both asset attachment and prosecution proceedings.
The asserted claims of 1% daily returns, investment distributions that can triple the amount invested, referral commissions, and incentives like expensive cars and foreign vacations are all specifically at issue in this case.
In relation to the purported fraudulent cryptocurrency business, the agency's lawsuit names M/s Pan India Crypto Currency and its Hashpe investment plan.
ED Chennai has filed a complaint before the PMLA Special Court in Puducherry and taken financial enforcement action, with roughly ₹14.16 crore in movable and immovable assets provisionally attached.
The proceedings concern allegations of financial fraud and money laundering linked to the investment scheme. The matter is now before the Special Court under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
